In harmony with its objectives to motivate, stimulate and promote socially responsible policies and activities in Bulgaria, National Alliance for Social Responsibility adopts the idea to be a continuer of the tradition introduced by the Social Development Agency Vision of giving annual awards for contributions to European development of social policies in Bulgaria.
Since 2010 the National Alliance for Social Responsibility has continued the tradition of giving annual awards for contributions to social development of Bulgaria in three categories:
- Municipalities
- Corporations
- NGOs
2014
I. MUNICIPALITY CATEGORY:
- Plovdiv Municipality
Plovdiv Municipality won an award for its active social policy, stability, and social innovation models. It works to establish effective partnerships with all who are willing to engage in an open dialogue and collaboration, namely local service providers, other municipalities, non-governmental sector and the administration.
- Municipality Karnobat
Karnobat Municipality is a prime example of the municipalities implementing a successful social policy and effective social services. In the town there are 11 social service structures, and the deinstitutionalization process is complete which makes Karnobat Municipality a model that other Bulgarian municipalities should follow. Karnobat Municipal keeps on generating innovative and effective models for social support and partnership.
II. CORPORATЕ SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CATEGORY:
- Seven-Eight Production Company
for their extremely strong example of social commitment to children and talents of Bulgaria in whom we see our hope for finding our way out of difficulties and through whom we can build sustainable development of Bulgaria and achieve a better life for all Bulgarians. Supporting talented children and persons who succeed in the name of Bulgaria is the highest form of social commitment and an example of a real contribution to the successful social development of our country.
III. NGO CATEGORY
- “International Social Service – Bulgaria” Foundation
Since its establishment, the organization has implemented over 15 projects mainly directed towards the development and provision of social services for children and families. ISS-Bulgaria is an active member of NASO and a shining example of successful partnership between local authorities and other institutions and organizations pertained to the introduction and provision of quality and effective social services and innovative methods, including successful deinstitutionalization. ISS-Bulgaria has implemented significant projects having a strong social impact and uses an internal system of quality assessment, which is an innovative approach for Bulgaria and is in harmony with the leading European and worldwide trends.
III. ARTS AND CULTURE CATEGORY
Krisia Todorova, Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatovi
for their outstanding success in the 2014 Junior Eurovision where Bulgaria was ranked second thanks to their incredibly meaningful performance. It is a remarkable achievement for such young performers that not only shows their outstanding success, but also sends out a strong message of national unity and involvement to all Bulgarians and the state as a whole, calling for their contribution to the successful development of Bulgaria at the best European level. The three young talents represent the hopes of Bulgaria and trace out the prospect of future success of our country

- I. MUNICIPALITY CATEGORY:
- Pazardzhik Municipality
Pazardzhik Municipality won the NASO Award for their innovative approach to social services and their well-developed social infrastructure. The first in Bulgaria Public Council of Social Service Providers has begun to operate in the city of Pazardzhik, and the municipal authorities have adopted the European trends in entering into a contract with a great number of external service providers to deliver social services. They work actively with all providers and make the process of announcing competitions, contracting and reporting service performance results transparent and easy to understand. Pazardzhik Municipality has found some innovative solutions to provide individually tailored social services for different types of users, and it is one of the municipalities developing active local social policies and implementing quality social services, which goes hand in hand with the support from external service providers.

- Cedar Foundation
The Cedar Foundation is known for its innovative activities in the NGO sector in Bulgaria. It implements high quality social services and projects that have a significant impact on the development of national and local social policies, the deinstitutionalization process, and the partnership between local authorities and other institutions and organizations pertained to the introduction and provision of quality and effective social services and innovative methods. The Cedar Foundation is one of the largest NGOs working in Bulgaria and it is an active member of NASO. The organization was actively involved in past NASO forums giving presentations and sharing its experience and best practices.
