10 NASO Annual National Awards 2018
During the European Conference Varna 2018 Gala Dinner the NASO Annual National Awards ceremony 2018 was held. After announcing the NASO Board decision, the following guests and representatives of the organisations coordinating and hosting the European conference took part in the award ceremony: Ms Svetlana Angelova, MP, Ms Sultanka Petrova, deputy minister of labour and social policy, Mr James Crowe, EASPD president, Mr Luk Zelderloo, EASPD Secretary General, Ms Donka Mihaylova, vice-chair of the NAMRB Board, Dr Lidia Marinova, vice-chair of Varna City Council, Ms Tanya Vasileva, director of Social Affairs Directorate at Varna Municipality, Mr Georgi Georgiev, NASO president.
Every year NASO gives its annual awards for the social development in Bulgaria into five categories – Municipalities, Non-Governmental Organisations, Social Services, Arts and Culture, Employers, and since last year into Personal Contribution category.
According to the NASO Board decision awards into Municipalities category were given to Razgrad Municipality in its capacity as administrative centre of a Bulgarian province, Dimitrovgrad Municipality not functioning as an administrative centre, and special awards were bestowed on Sofia Municipality, Targovishte Municipality, Kardzhali Municipality, Troyan Municipality. The next award winners were in NGOs category. Awards were given to the Bulgarian Centre for Not-For-Profit Law, Maria's World Foundation, Social Tea House Varna, Equilibrium Foundation, Empathy Foundation Silistra.
Awards into Social Services category were given to Centre for Public Support – Sredets, Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration Nesebar.
Awards into Personal Contribution category were bestowed on Mr Luk Zelderloo, EASPD Secretary General, Mr James Crowe, EASPD president, Ms Maya Vasileva, vice-chair of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Policy of NAMRB, Ms Svetla Grigorova, chair of the Care for Children with Disabilities Foundation, Ms Radostina Pireva, director of the Social Care and Services Department and NASO representation for Nesebar, Ms Nedka Petrova, NASO expert coordinator for Plovdiv Province, Ms Vesela Tsankova, NASO representation for Lovech.
An award into Arts and Culture category was given to Gaitani Association – Yambol.
