International Disability Festival
On March 15, 2017, the second International Disability Festival on Traditions and Crafts took place in Zajecar, Serbia. The event is launched by the Support for Implementation Foundation — Vidin, which is a NASO representative for the area, and some disability-related organizations in Serbia. A working meeting was held with business representatives, bodies and organizations from Zajecar and Vidin. The Red Cross and the Association of child paralysis and cerebral palsy in the Serbian town hosted the festival. Different organizations from the region took part in the event. The festival is a follow-up to the first such cooperation forum held in Vidin in late 2016. The aim is to enable exchange of experience among disability-related organizations and social services and to seek cooperation opportunities. Following the example of the event in Vidin, the Serbian hosts organized workshops on traditional cuisine and local folk dances.
