Annual General Assembly of National Alliance for Social Responsibility
On June 10, 2016 in Varna the Annual General Assembly of National Alliance for Social Responsibility was held. Ms. Veselina Boteva, NASO Board member, was unanimously elected for chairperson of the meeting. The agenda included a report of the Board on the activities of NASO in 2015, annual financial report of NASO for 2015 and discussion and adoption of the program of activities of NASO in 2016, leading priority tasks of NASO for the period 2016 to 2020, and budget for 2016. Mr. Georgi Georgiev, NASO president, reported on all agenda items.
Achievement of 100% territorial coverage of Bulgaria, included nearly 2,000 structures in NASO network, of which over 1,400 social services providing support to over 33,000 people and over 13 000 jobs in social services were highlighted among the reached goals in 2015. The organization of international, national, regional and local forums, conferences, workshops and trainings, where nearly 5,000 professionals from the social sector attended were also reviewed.
The General Assembly voted improving the quality of social services, increasing employment opportunities and social entrepreneurship, expanding partnerships with the corporate sector and development of corporate social responsibility as leading priorities of NASO for the next period. Mr. Georgiev presented the internal structures of NASO - National Centre for Social Services and Development, National Center for Corporate Social Responsibility and Employment, National Information Center and National Center of Art and Culture, that will support the activities of NASO members.
