Working meeting of NASO and EASPD with Veliko Turnovo municipality
On April 12, 2016 in the building of Veliko Turnovo Municipality a working meeting between Gancho Karabadzhakov, deputy mayor of Veliko Turnovo, Rositsa Dimitrova, director of Social Activities and Healthcare Directorate, Margarita Sarieva, director of Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration and NASO representative for Veliko Turnovo District, Franz Wolfmayr, EASPD president and Georgi Georgiev, EASPD Board member and NASO President was held. The hosts presented the wide specter of social activities of Veliko Turnovo and underlined the development of social activities, initiatives and services, some of which innovative for Bulgaria. Numerous achievements of the municipal authorities in the social sector were shared as well.
NASO president thanked for the hospitality and greeted the mayor and the administration team as a holder of NASO grand award for contribution to social development of Bulgaria. He pointed out that as a result of Veliko Turnovo excellent work and its award the national forum of social service providers is held in the city. He thanked for the partnership in forum organization and expressed NASO conviction on future joint activities and initiatives supporting best practices on a local level. Mr. Worlfmayr pointed out his satisfaction with Veliko Turnovo visit and meeting the city governance, and of course thanked the hosts that EASPD has the opportunity to co-organize this significant event exactly in their city. The discussion covered future directions of social policies development on national and European level on which the participants in the meeting plan to work on in forthcoming period too.
