NASO and Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria will sign partnership agreement
On February 12, 2016, a meeting between Plamen Nankov, Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, and Georgi Georgiev, President of National Alliance for Social Responsibility (NASO), was held. It was aimed at setting clear goals of the partnership between the two organizations in order to conduct more active and effective activities within the broad spectrum of topics on which they work on national and local levels. The opportunities for exchange of information, analyses, intellectual products, expertise, common initiatives, activities and projects were commented on. A mutual interest in the work on topics related to improving the quality of life in Bulgaria, the corporate social responsibility development with a focus on human resources, support to persons with disabilities, work with municipalities for developing local social policies and partnerships, exchange of ideas and creation of new models of support corresponding to the current developments in the society, establishment of new ways for individual support as well as provision of support in the fields of lobbying and interaction with state institutions and other structures was also expressed. At the end of the meeting, the next steps of the implementation of the partnership between the two organizations were clarified as well as the preparation of a partnership agreement.
