Development of CSR and employment on open market – discussed on meeting with Deputy Minister Galab Donev
On February 9, 2016, a meeting between Georgi Georgiev, President of National Alliance for Social Responsibility (NASO) and Galab Donev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, was held. It was mainly related to the 2016 work plans of NASO for the development of corporate social responsibility and the implementation of new models of employment for persons with disabilities, i.e. supported employment. Thanks to the partnership of NASO and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in 2015, supported employment forms part of the Bulgarian legislation, i.e. of the Law on Employment Promotion and the Action Plan on Employment in 2016. In this respect, future steps related to the elaboration of sub-normative regulations, including the Regulations for the Implementation of the Law on Employment Promotion, which are to reflect on European practices about supported employment and the Bulgarian conditions, were discussed. The steps to be made in 2016 in view of the implementation of supported employment in Bulgaria were talked through as well. These steps refer to the next two years, within which partner meetings will be held in order to introduce the best possible methods for the realization of supported employment.
During the meeting, the topic on the development of corporate social responsibility in Bulgaria in the next few years was also discussed, whereby common action plans were made in view of implementing corporate social responsibility in support of human resources. It was clarified that NASO will use its partnership on a European level in order to support the process of developing corporate social responsibility in the country.
