NASO became Member of National Council for Child Protection at State Agency for Child Protection
Since January 1st, 2016, National Alliance for Social Responsibility (NASO) has become a regular member of the legal non-profit organizations’ quota of the National Council of Child Protection at the State Agency for Child Protection. NASO has been elected in the period 4th – 17th December 2015 following an election list. The legal non-profit persons’ mandate within the National Council for Child Protection is two years, i.e. from 1st January 2016 until 1st January 2018.
The National Council for Child Protection is a structure within the State Agency for Child Protection with consultative and coordination functions, whereby it gives consultations to the Chairperson of the State Agency for Child Protection when developing and implementing the National Strategy for Children and the National Program for Child Protection, the Agency program policies and the synchronization of normative regulations in the field of child protection. The Council suggests, discusses and coordinates strategic priorities within the state policies for child protection and debates upon their funding, gives recommendations regarding the elaboration of normative acts, including regulations about children’s rights, before their adoption by the Council of Ministers, supports the cooperation with legal non-profit persons in terms of developing and conducting the state policy for child protection, reviews and gives suggestions for changes in the aims and activities related to the implementation of national, regional and international programs in the field of child protection in accordance with the EU priorities and programs. The National Council for Child Protection organizes and implements its tasks on the basis of an annual work program and cooperates with national and international structures and organizations working in the field of child and children’s rights protection.
